Roger Jazilek
The Club Paintings
April 10 - May 10, 2008
In the second gallery we will show eight paintings from an ongoing series
made of cut paper and paint mounted on board, each measuring 18 x 12".
The composition of each is based on the club form, mirrored and symmetrical.
Through variations in color, paint marks and shapes Jazilek explores the
infinite possibilities within a defined and repetitive structure. Jazilek
was educated at the Chelsea College of Art in London and has lived in
New York since 1980.
