Julie Saul Gallery to relocate to 535 West 22nd St.

The Julie Saul Gallery is pleased to announce our relocation to Chelsea in October 2000. We are moving to a newly developed gallery building at 535 West 22nd Street between 10th and 11th Ave, across the street from the new Sonnabend Gallery. We are located on the sixth floor, along with the Leslie Tonkonow Gallery and the Frederieke Taylor Gallery. Other tenants in the building include Friedrich Petzel (ground floor) and Marianne Boesky (second floor), and CRG Gallery, as well as the DIA Center for the Arts who are the owner/landlords of the building.

The gallery first opened in Soho in May 1986, and has operated at four locations between Spring Street and 560 Broadway, where we relocated in 1991. The new space, along with the three previous locations, is designed by the architecture firm Keenen/Riley. Since the founding of the gallery we have specialized in contemporary photography and works on paper from traditional to conceptual, as well as organizing special projects involving vintage photographs and thematic ideas. We represent a stable of contemporary artists, as well as the estates of Tseng Kwong Chi and Luigi Ghirri.

Our opening exhibition is new work by Andrew Bush entitled "Prop Portraits."
